I know for many of you this is your first interaction with Caring Bridge. Suzie will read the comments to Jim. So if you are so inclined, please take a moment to give some encouraging words, share a funny memory, or just let Jim know you are praying for him. Thank you.

Linda Lawrence : Today sounds like a day of procedures to make your life easier. I am recalling as if yesterday, the social worker outside Bob111 ( let’s just call him grandpa) room at 11:30pm as Bob, Molly and I are waiting for him to return from his 1st 12 hour surgery. He wanted to begin the discussion about skilled rehabilitation. Seemed so far in the future and the last thing we were interested in thinking about at the time. I am so happy to tell you that we are going home tomorrow, just 2 days short of 7 weeks, having completed hospitalization and rehab.! He still will have PT and other “ stuff “, but moving ahead. Now Jim, the challenge is on…. You are 26 years younger than grandpa so I am confident that you will work hard, giving it your all and make it home in less time than the 6weeks, 5 days!! You have overcome other challenges and will do the same now. You are in our constant prayers along with Susie and Clara. All our love, Grandpa and Linda

Bob Luchene : Jim,
As a new member of LEFC I’m not sure if I’ve met you or not, but I want to send some positive vibes your way. I wish you the best in your recovery.

Lawrence Kream : Jim:
I last saw you last Wednesday, as I was getting in to ride with Mark and Al last Wednesday to ENW, just before they were to meet you to take you back after you dropped 88T off for its annual. I was so sorry to hear about your accident.
Froedert is a good place, with plenty of experience with similar injuries. I wish you the best and hope you continue to improve.

Marc Epner : As part of Jim’s flying family (Leading Edge Flying Club), I know all of us were deeply impacted when we heard the news. I will share this site with our membership, but in the meantime, based on the many emails I have received, we are all sending our thoughts and prayers to Jim and the family.
Jim and I have a bit of a running joke between us. He always says, “It’s just stuff”. when talking about the things we own and the potential hassles that come with that. This accident really brings that philosophy and what’s really important in life, front and center. Praying for continued progress. For Jim and his family, please let me (us) know, if there is anything we can do. Blue Skies and Tailwinds… Marc Epner
